Apple Watch Series 4 Features

The new Apple Watch Series 4 has been announced at the latest Apple Event and it’s BIG! The event itself started off big by showcasing the first design update to the Apple Watch since it’s 2015 release. Apple also introduced it’s new iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and Xr models, but judging by all the reactions on social media and the initial press, the Apple Watch is the clear winner here. DESIGN UPDATE
The Apple Watch Series 4 will now come in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The previous Apple Watch’s have been in 38mm and 42mm. The new Apple Watch has larger rounded corners, thinner profile and the display is 30 percent larger.

YOUR BANDS STILL FITS

PERFORMANCE
The Series 4 is powered by a 64-bit dual core processor with up to 2X faster performance. It’ll have the same 18-hour battery life as the Series 3 plus an improved 6-hour workout battery life.

IMPROVED TECH
The new speaker is 50 percent louder and the moved to the button side which helps reduce echo and improves sound quality. The Series 4 has a complete black ceramic & sapphire crystal backing. The new Digital Crown now has haptic feedback, giving you a more mechanical and responsive feel.

CERTIFIED MEDICAL DEVICE
The new Apple Watch Series 4 sensors can now take an electrocardiogram (ECG) which will measure the electrical activity of your heartbeat. This will allow your Watch to warn you if you have irregular heart rates or even a serious heart condition. It has been certified by the US FDA, meaning it’s technically a medical device.

FALL DETECTION
The Apple Watch’s updated accelerometer and gyroscope have allowed Apple to detect falls. If you fall, the Apple Watch will send you an alert that you can dismiss or initiate emergency services. If you fall and the Watch doesn’t detect movement for 1 minute, it’ll automatically call emergency services.

RELEASE DATES
The Apple Watch Series 4 can be preordered on September 14 and it’ll be available to get on September 21. This is for US, Canada, Australia, and more. Check Apple for your countries release dates.
